Tricon Homes is a vertically integrated company, which means that the entire home building process, from land acquisition and development, planning, design, purchasing, and construction management, to marketing, sales, and warranty; takes place in-house. This “one-stop shop” concept allows us to have ultimate control over the final product and in turn we can offer the highest level of quality in not only the design, construction and finishes of the home, but also throughout the home buying experience and beyond, as carried out by our dedicated customer care and warranty departments.
Our commitment to excellence is reflected in everything we do; from the overall design to the selection of materials from frame to finishing touches. We believe in creating each home as if it were our own and being extremely selective about what we use to build each one. We don’t skip corners or take short-cuts and we’re adamant about producing homes with the finest finishes available in the market. We incorporate “upgrades” into every area of our home thereby creating a higher standard to which we proudly adhere.
A Tricon home features a long list of well-appointed finishes including: Custom-built cabinetry with full extension drawers, ball-bearing glides, and ¾” thick drawer boxes; Granite slab countertops throughout; Stainless steel appliances; Under-mount stainless steel kitchen sink; Under-cabinet lighting at kitchen; Recessed can lighting throughout home; Fans in all bedrooms and family room; Moen faucets in a variety of finishes; Kohler sinks and commodes; Emtek or Schlage door hardware; and Slate or Travertine tile throughout laid in a multitude of patterns.
When choosing building materials we consider not only the level of quality, but also what the long-term maintenance will be for our homeowners in choosing it. We are also truly dedicated to creating homes which are energy-efficient and reduce our overall impact on the environment. For us, green isn’t just a paint color. We use more efficient 14 SEER Carrier air conditioning units which feature the more eco-friendly “Puron” refrigerant and are controlled by Honeywell programmable thermostats, which allow you to keep your bills down by conserving energy while you’re away from the home; Double pane Low-E windows from Jeld-Wen are energy star rated; PEX Plumbing System with central manifold conveniently located at utility room; as well as Engineered wood sheathing, sub-flooring and I-Joists and James Hardie siding and trim as recommended and recognized by organizations such as LEED and the Sustainable Forestry Initiative for their conservation of wood. We have also committed to using energy conserving “Water Sense” labeled commodes and Tech Shield radiant barrier.*
All of our homes are wired to meet the needs of today’s homeowners. Security systems are pre-wired and trimmed out including two keypads and activation of contacts at all operable openings. We also include pre-wiring at the family room for 5.1 surround sound and at the master bedroom for two speakers and a volume control. Structured wiring brings all of the Phone (Cat. 5e), Cable/Satellite (RG6), and Ethernet (Cat 5e) wires together at the distribution panel and offers a generous amount of connections throughout the home. In addition, we have even included wiring for an intercom system near the front gate as well as wiring for an approach camera, and most recently, “prepping” the TV wall in the family room for the future mounting of a flat screen TV.
