If you are considering the purchase of a new home your search will be primarily based on the following factors: neighborhood, lot size, style, finishes and budget, but what you may forget to examine is the builder’s reputation and the level of service they can afford to provide not only before, but long after you sign on the dotted line.  With more than 10 years of experience and hundreds of homes built, Tricon Homes has earned a solid reputation for quality and commitment to service.  In today’s real estate market where builders are here today and gone tomorrow homebuyers are appreciating more and more the stability for which Tricon Homes is known.
At Tricon Homes our goal is to make your home buying experience as effortless as possible so that you can enjoy the process rather than being overwhelmed by it.  We want you to feel comfortable and attended to and we do this by keeping you informed each step of the way and by answering your questions or addressing your concerns in a timely fashion.  While your sales representative will serve as your primary point of contact, there are, in fact, many skilled individuals working behind the scenes making the successful completion and closing of your home their priority.
Our sales representatives will guide you through the home selection process; answering your questions and serving as the liaison between you and the builder during the writing and execution of the contract.  Once the contract is executed a series of events will be put into order, starting with your first walk of the home in which you will be given the opportunity to mark any items you would like addressed.  If you are going to have a 3rd party inspection of the home, this will need to be scheduled a few days ahead of the first walk.  An official response will be issued based on the findings of the 3rd party inspection and then this edited list will combine with the items from your first walk to create a punch list, which will then be worked on in the days following.  Typically we allow for up to a week between first and final walks to allow adequate time for the superintendent to address all items on the list as to avoid any pending items at the time of closing.  A final walk will be scheduled up to two days before closing in which the buyer is to sign off on each item in addition to the paperwork contained within the Tricon Homes Home Owner’s Manual as directed by the Tricon representative conducting the final walk.  Along the way our closing coordinator will communicate with the Title Company, lenders, and appraisers to expedite closing documents and address any concerns as to ensure a smooth closing process for you.  Furthermore, our closing coordinator will make every effort to accommodate special requests as to time of day you would like the closing to take place.
A survey will be provided at closing in which you can score our performance in various areas as well as leave comments, thoughts, or suggestions. In an effort to constantly improve the Tricon experience we thoroughly evaluate each survey, thus we highly encourage and appreciate your participation in completing and returning the survey. From the date of closing you have a 1-year warranty through Tricon Homes and a 10-year structural warranty issued through ACES Builder’s Warranty. Your Tricon Homes Home Owner’s Manual will outline and detail the various areas of your home and clearly specify what is, and what isn’t, covered under the warranty. Our dedicated warranty department utilizes a convenient electronic form, which you can access by clicking on the “Online Service Request,” to be more effective in addressing your requests in a timely manner.
