Graphic Designer/Marketing Assistant, Adrian Sanchez, made his design debut here at Tricon Homes where his dirty love affair with computers was finally accepted and welcomed. It took him a while, but he soon adapted to a life of deadlines and happy hours. Today, Adrian uses his computer skills to produce marketing graphics, write DHTML code and scare employees desktops into submission. When not learning new computer languages and holding late night jam sessions (he plays a mean guitar), Adrian likes to work on his plan to dominate the world of design as we know it.

Architectural Designer, Liliana Carvajal, has been with Tricon Homes for over 5 years and has been involved with the design of over 450 homes and dozens of floor-plan layouts during this time. She has a degree in Architecture form the University of Houston and a passion for home design. Her attention to detail and ability to innovate with new and fresh ideas are a vital aspect of Tricon Homes enduring appeal. Land Development Manager, Michael Fendley, brings a wealth of knowledge to Tricon Homes with over 14 years of service in the Home-Building Industry. His strong background consists of deep-rooted construction management experience, starting as a field superintendent, then Area Manager and also Project Manager in charge of all facets of the entire construction process for production-type homes as well as custom homes inside the loop. Michael's comprehensive knowledge of the residential construction market along with the numerous relationships established over the years, have allowed for his successful transition into the head of the Land Development Department here at Tricon Homes. He is an integral part of the future of our company as he manages not just our Land Development, but also provides his leadership and experience for our Construction Department.

Construction Superintendent, Refugio (Wally) Deleon, has 12 years of Residential Construction experience in the Houston area. He has excellent knowledge of building codes and City of Houston Building requirements. He monitors all work to ensure compliance with plans and specifications. Wally will also routinely monitor the progress, performance, and quality of all subcontractors and workers to ensure projects meet or exceed Tricon Homes expectations. He maintains communication with Tricon team members, demonstrating leadership abilities and good judgment. He conducts himself in a professional manner with clients to foster the relationship with the goal of continued, quality work and an excellent reference.

Construction Superintendent, Brad Workman, has over fifteen years experience in the construction industry. He has worked on virtually every home style available throughout the Houston area, from suburban master planned communities to downtown lofts. His claim to fame is specializing in the technical aspects of new home construction as it pertains to the ever increasing engineering requirements for modern construction as well as supporting renewable materials in home construction. Brad is also certified in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning design and system troubleshooting and repair from Texas A&M. Brad also enjoys wood working and is a hands-on worker who is not afraid to get involved in the actual construction to ensure the best possible quality. He was born and raised in the Houston area and served his country in the United States Marine Corps.

Closings and Warranty Manager, Aynsley Myers, contributes over 10 years of experience in Sales and Customer Service blended with her accreditations from The National Association of Home Builders and Home Builders Institute. As Closings Manager, Aynsley specializes in the completion and delivery of homes under contract. Managing all that is involved from the initial Homeowner inspection to the final walk; her proactive work ethic coupled with her sharp attention to detail, ensures the homeowner is always well informed and every closing is properly executed. Also, serving as Tricon Homes Warranty Manager, Aynsley remains available for contact regarding homeowners warranty related questions or claims. Providing the warranty department with pre-closing knowledge of the home, Aynsley then applies the same proactive work ethic and attention to detail in the management, delegation, and execution of warranty claims.

Warranty Superintendent, Salvador Castaneda, has been working for Tricon Homes since March of 2006. Purchasing Manager, Darryl Stewart, brings 27 years of homebuilding experience in the Houston market to the Tricon Homes team. He is a skilled negotiator and master asset manager. He has worked for both homebuilders and suppliers, so his experience covers all sides of the supply management spectrum. Among many other things, Darryl manages contractor negotiations for the labor required on all of our homes. Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Andrew Nicolini, brings over 20 years of experience in Accounting and Financial Management, both in the Distribution and Construction Industries. He holds a CMA Certification from the Institute of Management Accountants. He is responsible for the management of Tricon Homes financial assets as well as lender relationships. Andrew advocates the continuous pursuit of greater efficiency in the workplace, and he is a strong believer in lifelong learning, both at work and in his personal life. Aside from his main responsibilities, he also serves Tricon Homes as an Office Administrator who teaches by example. He is respected by everyone for his mild manner, coupled with a very professional and excellent work ethic.

As co-founder & Vice President, Jose Miguel Berlanga, shares his brother’s passion for the home-building industry but focuses his energies and skills into different areas of the company, such as the Land Acquisition and Financial transactions that are vital to the growth and continued success of Tricon Homes. Jose Miguel has a Business degree from the University of St.Thomas here in Houston. His vision and 20+ years of business experience (within several industries) has allowed him the ability to see the potential in many inner-loop neighborhoods where Tricon Homes has pioneered in the efforts to rejuvenate and revitalize these areas, within the last 10 years, with homes that fit the needs of buyers, but maintain a sense of place within the neighborhoods in which they are built.

Jose Miguel makes this vision of a “better Houston” possible not just by locating ideal lots, but also by acquiring the financing necessary to make the purchase of the lots possible as well as the construction of the homes that make the vision a reality. His financial wizardry, business experience and charismatic personality are key factors in his success as a person who is determined to “find a way” through his hard work and determination. Whether it is to acquire the optimum land for the next Tricon home or whether it is working with Sales Agents to ensure that every potential home-buyer is able to acquire the home of their dreams, Jose Miguel, “makes the deal happen”.

As co-founder & President, Tristan Berlanga, has always been passionate about Architecture and construction so he finds extreme satisfaction and reward in designing and building homes. From the initial days of the company, Tristan has been involved directly in the design of the dozens of floor-plans that have been built by the company. Tristan has degrees in Architecture and Environmental Design from the University of Houston. His ability to define space in a variety of ways and styles within a given lot size have definitely been a part of the appeal of the homes built by Tricon Homes.

By integrating the departments of Land Development, Design, Purchasing, Construction and Warranty into one company, Tristan has also conceived the notion that building homes that are planned from start to finish (and beyond) under one roof allows a better opportunity for success because everyone involved is working in synergy with a common goal in mind.
